Who is FERDINAND and why Socks?
The socks manufacturer FERDINAND was founded in Jahr 2016 by Salvátor Soška and Jakub Janošík in Prague.
The design of FERDINAND collections is a particular study of fabrics, details and structure. FERDINANDs use of fabrics and yarns is always of exclusive and natural origin. In consultation of use, temperature and style FERDINAND socks are made from wool, cotton, alpaca, silk and merino wool.

But why FERDINAND and who is FERDINAND?
It's all about values and consequence. The first czech president, Václav Havel stood for his values and opnion and got imprisoned.
To be able to stay in contact with the external world and the czech population and being able to write letters, Havel decided to use the pseudonym Ferdinand Vanek. Later Havel got recognized for wearing progressive short pants, allowing glimpses of socks.
FERDINAND is a pure hommage of values and Havels courage. His early, individual and modern statement, appearing in ankle-free length pants made Salvátor Soška and Jakub Janošík to name their collection FERDINAND.
All FERDINAND products are made in the Czech Republic and European Community under aspects of sustainability and economicality.
